NASA is on schedule to launch space shuttle Endeavour on its final mission Monday morning, at 8:56 am ET launch (5:56 am PT). Endeavour’s primary cargo, the $2 billion Alpha Magnetic Spectrometer that will be dispatch on the Space station.
The six astronauts with shuttle commander Mark Kelly of STS-134 are on their way to launch pad 39A to enter the orbiter of space shuttle Endeavour. U.S. Rep. Gabrielle Giffords will be at Kennedy Space Center to watch her husband.
The first launch attempt last April 29 was scrubbed because of a technical issue. So far the weather looks good and all signs point to a good chance of launch at 8:56 a.m. Monday.
According to Orlando Sentinel blog, Monday’s STS-134 Space Shuttle Endeavour rescheduled launch is expected to draw 500,000 visitors to the Space Coast.
NASA Television will provide live coverage of the STS-134 Space Shuttle Endeavour Launch, a one of a lifetime experience.
